About Our Founder

After majoring in Human and Group Relations at Bryn Mawr College, Julie Hilzenrath earned a six-month White House internship composing stump speeches given by Vice President Gore for high-profile congressional races including Senators Fienstein and Boxer, and honoring national sites such as Presidio National Park and the Florida Everglades. She followed up this experience with a stint at the National Academy of Science's Institute of Medicine in Washington DC. Her innate ability to listen to what people are really looking for and her trained expertise in addressing those needs led to the creation of both a highly successful IT staffing firm as well as that of MedHire in the year 2000. Since that time, she has won the confidence, acclaim, and repeat business of organizations around the country.

Part of a family of medical practitioners, she has also helped develop a unique assisted living facility in Rockville, Maryland into a widely recognized model of care for caring with people who have early state Alzheimer's and other types of dementia. As the VP of Human Resources for Geriatric Care Facilities, Julie focused on each aspect of recruitment for varying positions, specialties, facilities, services and programs. Her background is replete with volunteer work in the community, helping special needs adults find jobs and careers that make the most of their skills and add value to the companies they work for.
